One of the best things about being a student in the UK is the amazing student discounts available at loads of stores and restaurants.
In store, you’ll generally have to ask for the discount and show your student ID.
None of the ones below require any special additional subscription to things like the Totum card; your normal uni ID should do.
For online discounts, head to Student Beans or Unidays to get a unique discount code for these stores for your purchases.
Here’s a list of my favourite UK student discounts all in one place and organised by type!

Now, this one isn’t strictly a student discount, but you can get a 16-25 railcard even if you’re over 25 if you’re a student. The card is only £30 and gets you 1/3 off all rail fares so it often pays for itself in just one trip.

Entertainment
In addition to student discounts, you should check with your university to see what software you can download for free.
Finally, you should definitely get the Honey browser extension; it helps find discount codes across the internet for a variety of sites to make sure you’re always getting the best deal. Just be sure to turn off your ad blocker when you use it; Honey generally won’t work with them turned on.
